Another new roommate from Latvia came to my place yesterday!
and I talked with him tonight.

He is 27 years old and he worked at a construction company for a number of years.
He came here to study English for his job.

In Europe, the number of foreign companies is increasing year by year and a good commend of English is in high demand. So he needs to study to increase his job opportunities.
He also said this would be the last chance for him to study abroad.

Today when he had the first class he felt that studying here is really great because there are many students from all over the world and they can all help each other in class.
When I heard this, I was really impressed. I feel the same way.
I think there are many positive aspects here and there, but I haven't realised them yet.
sometimes I felt even bad aspects of studying here.
I really want to see a good point of view from next week!

In our daily lives, there are good things in front of us, but sometimes we do not notice how good they truly are. We need to be at ease with ourselves.
If we always focus on the negatives we'll never be able to enjoy the positives in life.
(If we run ourselves down then we can't have much fun←an Australian way)

Here are new phrase(s) that I have come upon in daily life.
1. whoosh (on TV)
= the sudden movement and sound of air or water rushing past
2. dag (on TV)
= a socially conservative person
3. nerd (on TV)
= a person who is boring, stupid and not fashionable
