I went to see the fireworks display in Sydney,
which is one of the most famous events in the world.
I heard the scale of this years' fireworks display was larger than usual
with one and a half million people who went to see it.
Some people camped out from the prior evening to get a good place.
The fireworks could be seen for 20 minutes at 9:00 and for 10 minutes at midnight.

My classmate couldn't make it, but my Aussie friend invited me to his party.
He lives on the 33rd floor of a tower block in the middle of the city
and we went to watch from the top of the building.
We could see fireworks at 5 different spots.
Some of them could not be seen well because of other blocks of flats.
Since the place was far from fireworks, it lacked punch and was disappointing,
but I found it was worse than I expected.
I think the best place to see them is closer to where the fireworks are launched.
If I were there, my opinion might be different.
Next time, I am sure that I will see them from the North side
such as Milsonpoint, at Darling harbor or the Botanic Garden, which is next to the Opera house.

Oh, did you miss it? Don't worry. Why don't you check this out!!

As for my friend's party, there were so many Japanese people and I was very surprised.
I didn't want to talk with them, so I chatted with people from different countries.
I met an American, an Italian, a Korean, a Finn and some people from other countries.
I'm happy to see new friends.

I'm so lazy that I won't reflect on myself this year.
Actually, I don't remember what I have done in 2010. haha

But I want to say "thank you" to everyone here.
For people who read my blog, I really appreciate it!
Thanks to you, I was able to keep diaries every day.
(sometimes I put it up some days later though...)
I could win the first prize at a small blog ranking as well.
Thank you, everyone and I hope you have a wonderful year 2011

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.

= a boring way of life that does not change
2. ordure (on TV)

3. shaved (on TV)

4. smart-ass (on TV)
