I went to an area called The Rocks with my friend.
It is next to a famous area called Circular Quay which encompasses the Opera House.
The buildings were made of bricks and looked old,
which makes people feel immersed in a traditional atmosphere.
A market is held there during weekends so I was able to see it.
It's a small area but it was very crowded.

After that, we went drinking at a place by the harbour.
I tried a new bee, but I forgot the name. haha
We tried going to a bar at the Sanctuary Hotel, but it was still closed since it was too early.
So we headed for the city to look for another place.

We then went to a Taiwanese desert shop called Meetfresh instead.
My friend treated me to a Taro ball desert ($5.50).
Although we ate deserts, we went to eat out at a food court in Market city.
I chose a place where I could choose three kinds of food with rice ($8.30).
I had lamb, chicken, and pork since I usually don't eat enough meat.
Actually I hadn't cooked rice either since I moved to the new place. haha
So I was able to get some food which I haven't eaten recently.

I had a good time

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. dexterous (in a newspaper)
= skillful with your hands
2. bump into (in a newspaper)
= to meet sb by chance
3. gaffe (on TV)
= a mistake that a person makes in public or in a social situation, especially sth embarassing
