Today, I took an extra pronunciation class at 10 am and a conversation class at 1 pm
instead of an IELTS mock test.
The pronunciation class was very easy since the material was for primary school students,
but nevertheless it was good for me to go over it.

I learned how to make some sounds using words and sentences.
I also learned some linking words.
It was useful to know how to read sentences aloud.
When I go back to work, this skill will be definitely necessary.
I realised again that making pauses and paying attention to intonation
are also important when reading.
I need to practice them.

After that, I had another language exchange session with an Aussie guy from 3 to 11 pm.
So I felt like I was swamped by English all day long.

We walked from Hyde Park to Wooloomooloo, which has a famous pie shop
called Harry's Cafe de Wheels,
and drank some beer at some places along the way.
I tried Peroni, an Italian beer, for the first time, which tasted good.
I forgot what it's called, but I ate some Turkish bread with some different kinds of sauces.

It was very difficult to say what I wanted to say, but really all I need is practice.
I should make more of this chance to speak English more.

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. smite (in a newspaper)
= to hit sb/ sth hard; to attack or punish sb
2. fluffy (in a newspaper)
= soft, light and containig air
3. psst (in a newspaper)
= used to attract someone's attention surreptitiously.
