I joined an activity called Early Arrival Network Cafe meeting at UTS.

It was an event for those who have already arrived in Sydney.
Network Café is a free event where we get to meet other international and local students.

It starts at 4 pm and finishes at 5 pm at the Concourse Café,
which is located on level 3 of the Tower Building.
This event will be held every Thursday during this semester.

I talked with the UTS students and they seemed to be very nice and clever.
Their English was very good even though they are still undergraduate students.
It also motivated me to study more.
I'd like to join it again to have more chances to talk with different people.

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. vibrant (in a newspaper)
= full of life and energy
2. showbiz (on TV)
= the business of providing public entertainment, for example in the theatre, in flims/ movies or in
television.
3. CV (in a newspaper)
= curriculum vitae = resume
