What's O'Fest?
I don't know, but a party was held for it at university.
There were more than 100 clubs and associations on the same floor.

I wanted to join a club, so I walked around and checked them out.
What I interested me were that the sailing, tennis, frisbee, exposure (photographs),
bars & campus life, cricket and Jass (Japanese and Australian student society) clubs.
Although I am interested in many clubs, I won't have enough time to take part in all of them.
So I will try exposure and Jass, and then I will see how things go.
I used to play baseball and a club called Baseball and Softball exists at the university,
but there was no booth for it.
It's good to try a sport, but this time I will focus on learning English more

After that, I joined the international students cocktail party.
I drank several drinks all together such as beer, red and white wine and champagne.
But I didn't find the cocktails which Japanese people usually think of.
It was good to meet new people, but since there was only some food,
I became so hungry and ate something when I went back home. haha

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. surrogate (in a newspaper)
= used to describe a person or thing that takes the place of, or is used instead of, sb/sth else
2. rant (in a newspaper)
= to speak or complain about sth in a loud and/or angry way
3. about-face (in a newspaper)
= a complete change of opinion, plan or behabiour
