I had a block class from 10 am to 5 pm.
"Block" refers to classes which are going to be held on an irregular basis and intensively.

The subject was "Technology Enhanced Language Learning".
It was a computer-based learning and teaching method,
which was one of many things I wanted to learn.
But the lecturer finished one hour earlier than expected
and that means that I paid $800 for 5 hours. haha
Anyway, I have two more classes
and I will apply what I learned in this class to my teaching in the future.

After that, I went to Oxford Street to see the Mardi Gras Parade with my roommate.
That street is the center of gay culture.
Because we were not early, we were not able to see the nearby floats
and people who wore luxurious costumes and danced.
I've heard that thousands of people get together every year.
If you want to join it, I recommend you go much earlier and bring some chairs
to stand on to see the parade.

After that, I met my friend's friends from Indonesia.
We met at an Indonesian restaurant and walked to Darling Harbour.
It was nice to meet new friends!!

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. roomie (in a newspaper)
= roommate
2. revamp (in a newpaper)
= to make changes to the form of sth, usually to improve its appearance
3. pooch [smooch] (in a newspaper)
