2011.03.19 09/03/11 - Tutorial
I attended a tutorial for international students who belong to the TESOL course.
I thought there was no tutorial for students studying for a Master's degree,
but it is going to be held once a week this term.

I felt undergraduate students programs were better since they have many tutorials.
My professors told us that this class focuses on writing and making up for some difficult subjects.
I hope I can improve my ability and gain more knowledge through it.

Today we read an article "Native speakers of English and Non-native speakers of English"
and wrote down our opinions or feelings related to the content.
I feel that the other international students are very smart and I was at the bottom.
I always feel like this at the workplace and schools
although my life is going relatively well and I have had many good experiences.
So, this kind of feeling follows me about and does not go away.

But I need to do my best since I know I'm not talented and superior.
Fortunately, I don't dislike that I am making a lot of effort.
If other students take a certain amount of time to do a task,
I have to spend a few times longer working on than they do.
I am also wondering how much I am able to take advantage of my opportunities.

Have you felt like this yourself

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. nuke (in a newspaper)
= a nuclear weapon
2. (in a newspaper)
= to add alcohol, poison or a drug to sb's drink or food without them knowing
3. dunny (in a newspaper)
= a toilet

If you read this diary, please click on the white button and the pink button. Thanx!!
