Today was Francesco's 19th birthday!
So I planned with Petra to hold a surprise party.
We knew his birthday was today, but we did not say to him in the morning.

Petra bought a huge tub of ice cream, a card, a pen and 2 packs of cigarettes (although he said "I am going to quit for one month." ).
Andrej and I went shopping.
He was playing with a paper boomerang yesterday.
So we bought a wooden one for him. haha
Do you know boomerangs originally come from Australia

Andrej asked him to go back to his room and during the time, we prepared such as putting candles on the ice cream and turning off the lights. Then, we sang a song and welcomed him in our living room. He was not surprised so much and read our names or (messages) one by one.
After that, he divided the ice cream into eight portions.
In Japan, the birthday girl or boy usually does not have to work.
What about your country?

I hope he had a great time, anyway!
