I went to the Japanese embassy today, which is located in Martin Place
because I had to renew my passport.
The due date was the 5th of April, so I did not have enough time.

Actually, I went there last Tuesday, but I forgot to bring my visa.
It happened because I went drinking until very late last Monday
and I felt sick the following morning.
That was a silly thing to do, but I often do things like this.
What made it worse was that they told me I needed to take a photo of myself again.

So I took some photos at a photo store near Central Station and it cost $15 for 8.
I had to bring the abstract of my family register which I got from Japan recently.
I would rather choose the 10 years passport than the 5 years one.
All you need to do is to fill in an application form.
It costs $205, which is a bit expensive compared to getting it in Japan.
But I will get a new one in a week.
I need to get my passport back as soon as possible to go drinking at pubs. haha

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. go off (in a newspaper)
= to get worse in quality
2. wench (in a newspaper)
= a young woman
3. [page] me (on TV)
= to contact sb by sending a message to their pager
