Daylight saving times ended today.
Actually, it finished at 3:00 am.
So we moved our clocks one hour back before we went to bed.

Some people living here might have thought that they were lucky,
but it was not so different for me since I had to work on an assignment.
Thus, I could not get one hour extra of sleep.

Daylight savings begin at 2:00 am, October 2, 2011.

In Japan, we do not use this system.
Even in Australia, the system is used in some parts, but not in other parts.
It seems strange that one country could use different systems of time in different areas.
But I can understand that since Australia is very large.

In Sydney, autumn and winter are coming soon!!

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. gridlock (in a newspaper)
= a traffic am affecting a whole network of intersecting streets
2. revamp (in a newspaper)
= to make changes to the form of sth, usually to improve its appearance
3. dalliance (in a newspaper)
= the behaviour of sb who is dallying with sb/sth
