When I went back home for lunch, I found that he room was darker.
Nobody was there, and I found a piece of paper, which had been slipped under the door.
While Reading it, I turned on the TV.
It didn't work, and I thought that it must be unplugged.
I read the paper carefully and the word 'urgent' was come into sight.
I discovered that it was a power cut, and it was because of our landlord.

Not long after that, she came down to the living room.
I said "what happened?", although I already knew the reason.
She was like "I did not pay the bill, so the electric's been cut off"
she said it expressionlessly, as if she didn't care.

Previously we had complained about bedbugs, and her response was the same: "oh bedbugs?"
Do not ask us to do something. You guys can pay for it."

In addition, when I pay the rent, I have to have ready my pen and paper.
She never prepares a receipt.
Anyway, the power stoppage seemed to last until 7:30 pm.

Why cannot they, (she and one more landlord), manage the room well

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
