I had Shabu-Shabu with my roommates from Italy and Indonesia.
Shabu-shabu is a hot-pot dish of thinly sliced beef cooked at the table by dipping in boiling broth.
Since an Indonesian guy brought some sesame sauce for shabu-shabu from his workplace,
we went to buy pork instead of beef.

But it was yummy!!
I have not eaten proper food such as meat for a long time,
so I ate it until I was tired of eating.
We enjoyed saying ‘shabu-shabu’ while meat was boiling.
We did it just for fun.

I heard it is a tradition, but I have never ever done it or heard about it.
We were boiling piece by piece following the shabu-shabu rule at first,
but after 5 minutes we threw all the meat into the pot with dumplings without any vegetables,
and devoured everything.
That’s real men’s style, isn’t it haha
Writing about food is getting me hungry...

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
