Today, one of my roommates from Italy left our shared room.
He had to reach the airport around 5 am, so I woke up around 4 and saw him off.

He is a chef and has done a lot of things for us like cooking.
He will be going to the outbacks and stay in the south of Australia.
But I was not able to do much for him in return.
I did not even know what to say in a situation like this.

I was always busy and was not able to have time to hangout with him.
I wish I could have done it though.
We cannot believe that he is no longer staying at our room.
Now our room looks as if it lost all of its energy.

I hope we can meet again in Kyoto.
I am looking forward to eating his food again at his multinational restaurants that are in his dreams.

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.

1. hard-hat (in a newspaper)
=
2. penchant (in a newspaper)
= a special liking for sth
3. pullout (in a newspaper)
= an act of taking an arm away from a particular place
