I took a walk around the areas called Redfern and Waterloo.
While Waterloo has a lot of new tall buildings,
Redfern still seems to retain some of its indigenous character.

There are many Aboriginal people in Redfern and they do not look at all well off.
Many shops are barred.
They look different from other people in the city.
They seem to lead different lives, and I wonder what other Australians think about them.

In the evening, I ate out with some Chinese friends from my previous school.
Since the restaurant was BYO, we enjoyed Chinese food with drinks.
After I finished the last assignment, I keep drinking every day...

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.

1. shush (in a newspaper)
= used to tell sb to be quiet
2. dough (in a newspaper)
= money
3. cache (in a newspaper)
= a hidden store of things such as weapons
