Yesterday, my Aussie roommate asked me to go drinking
because we could get free beer at an art galley.
I said, "Yes, I'd like to" without hesitation,
but three other roommates came with us and I didn't have a chance to talk.
That means, when they talk together, I cannot join their conversation.

When we came back home, I was depressed because of that.
After that, they asked me again to go to a house party near Bondi Beach.
At that time I did not know where we were headed, I just followed them. haha

After we got soaked because of a sudden rain, we finally got to our destination.
There were around 25 people, most of whom were Australians, I suppose.
Some people have been to Japan,
and one of the girls was working at GEOS, an English conversation school, in the Kansai area.
Thus, luckily I did not have difficulty in talking with them.

Overall, I had a great time, but I felt very sorry for my roommates.

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.

1. slay (in a newspaper)
= to kill sb/ sth in a war or a fight
2. doppelganger (in a newspaper)
= an apparition or double of a living person
3. icon (in a newspaper)
= a famous person or thing that people admire and see as a symbol of a particular idea, way of life, etc
