A new school has just opened.
It is named insearch, and it is a school attached to UTS.

This morning I went to the registration desk to register for my course.
Since I had to guide my roommate who just came to Sydney and to the school in the city,
I had to leave our house much earlier and forgot to bring my passport.
I thought I had a copy in my bag but I didn't.
I am a problem child. haha

After that, we did a few reading and vocabulary exercises.
They were not difficult to answer, so I gave many answers and enjoyed the class.

During the lunch break, barbecue was served outside the building.
I ate a hotdog and some snacks including colourful gummis
(which were really looks "good" for my health).
Barbecued hotdogs here are unlike what we refer to in Japan.
I enjoyed talking with a russian guy and three chinese people.
I think more than 50 percent of the students come from china.

We then had an orientation and each department was introduced.
I feel that if I use the facilities effectively, I will be able to improve my English.
The boss said "This is a challenging course. People fail all the time,
so you shouldn't work during weekdays."
He added, "If you miss more than 20 %, we have to report you to immigrations."
I really like this kind of situation, so I was getting excited while listening to him.

Anyway, I will do my best!

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. whiff (on TV)
= a smell that is smelt only briefly or faintly
2. detain (on TV)
= to keep sb in an official place, such as a police station, a prison or a hospital,
and prevent them from leaving

If you read this diary, please press both the pumpkin and the pink button below. Thanx!!
