It is canned goods.
I saw some guy eating canned tuna, and it gave me an idea. haha

I went to an Asian supermarket
and bought a can of sardines in tomato sause for 85 cents.
My first thought was 'They shouldn't be mixed together. They don't go well.'
However, it was good since the tomato sauce didn't have a strong flavor.

people pronounce tomato as 'toma-tou'.

I prefer the American English way 'tomeitou' (sometimes 'tameitou')
In either case, don't pronounce the beginning 'to' like Japanese 'to', though. haha

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.

1. tinge (in a newspaper)
= colour slightly
2. ado (in a newspaper)
= trouble
3. grizzly (in a newspaper)
