Do you know of the website ‘Turnitin'
It refers to a website to turn in your written work.
https://turnitin.com/static/index.php

In overseas, copy rights are much stricter.
Students at my uni are usually asked to use the website.
It checks out whether or not you copy some information from websites or someone else.
It also helps teachers evaluate students' writing.

It shows what percent of your work is similar to others or websites.
That is, if your percentage is very high, you might get in trouble as plagiarism.
Some people do that without thinking, so be careful when you work on assignments at uni.

Here is a link for a video about ‘turnitin’.

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
