Today, me and my friend went to Wollongong and Kiama.
This was my last trip around Sydney.
Wollongong is a place where I've wanted to go for a long time.
We had to take trains and buses because of the trackwork.

Wollongong is a small town about 1.5 hours away by train from Sydney.
There is a clean and long beach, but not many people were there.
We enjoyed the view from a small hill with a lighthouse.
However, there were no restaurants besides 'Subway' so we had trouble finding a place to eat.

Kiama is a place located further south of Wollongong.
It's a small port and there is a famous spot called the 'blowhole'.
We saw a hole which splashed us with waves and walked along a rock cliff to get a better view.
We were able to see a beautiful horizon in the end.

However, we had a catastrophe.
On the way back home, the train police checked out our tickets.
My friend had told me earlier that we didn't have to pay for tickets because of the trackwork.
The gates were open and the station staff didn't say anything when we passed the gate.
I didn't believe him first, but I thought it was true afterwards.
But actually we needed tickets, and they fined us $200 each.
My last trip kinda turned out to be the worse,
but I hope this trip will be a good topic to talk about in the future. haha

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
