I went out with my roommates last night.
Before we got to the city, we bought a drink.
I bought a cheap beer ($2).

In the city there were so many people who were dressed up
and cars in which some people screamed.
The city showed us a different face, so it was interesting for us.
But why do some australian women who are not skinny wear short skirts or dresses?
I was a bit overwhelmed.

Anyway, we walked around to find a pub or a nightclub where we could dance.
Three of my roommates are from Europe, so I thought I could learn how to dance.
we lined up for around 15 minutes at one place.
Just after we entered, we found out that the cover charge was $25.
We then gave up.
Actually every place was expensive.

After that, we walked towards the city for a while.
However, every place was so crowded with a long queue
and we could not find a good place.
Since we had been walking a lot and were hungry, eating seemed preferable to drinking.
We then decided to go to McDonald's.
I ate one of the value picks, a Macdouble.
We ended up walking around the city
and going home on the next-to-last train. haha

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. mob (on TV)
= an associated group of people
2. spliff (on TV)
= a cannabis cigarette
