I went drinking with an Aussie.
Actually, yesterday was my first time to drink with a native speaker here.
I was very excited.

He has an Asian background.
I mean his parents are from Europe and the Philippines.
But he grew up in Sydney, so he can speak English fluently.
He is going to Japan next year, so I taught "nice" Japanese to him. haha

We went to two bars.
One is "Imma", which is in Thai style.
The other is a bar in the Sanctuary Hotel.
Anyway, we had a good time

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. whine (on TV)
= to make a long high unpleasant sound because you are in pain or unhappy
2. antic (on TV)
= grotesque or bizarre
3. Socceroos (on TV)
= The Australian representative soccer team
4. slur (on TV)
= to pronounce words in a way that is not clear so that they run into each other, usually because you are drunk or tired

If you read this diary, please press three buttons below. Thanx!!
