2010.12.21 14/12/10 - F
What does F mean?
It means..."fail".

I didn't do well on the exam.
It was 3.5 hours long.
The topic was "the issues of cultural proximity and protectionism".
I had to read three texts for the first time,
and had to find weaknesses or gaps in the texts and connect them.

Maybe I could understand what the authors say,
but I had no idea about how to summarize and write about them
Since, as you know, there are two aspects as you know (see today's question above.)
After 210 minutes, I ended up only writing up to introduction.
What is worse, my answer was outside of the question.

Anyway, I have a listening test tomorrow.
Since I already know I failed this course, I will be able to work on it without any pressure. haha

But a "fail" means that I have to spend another 5 weeks studying the same thing there
and pay more than $2000 because of failing just one exam.
Sigh...

Here are some new phrase(s) that I have come across in daily life.
1. What's cracking (on TV)
= What's up?
2. wait up (on TV)
= to wait for sb to come home at night before you go to bed
3. quirk (on TV)
= an aspect of sb's personality or behaviour that is a little strange
